Google Docs
Google Docs is a web based word processor. This means that you can work on Google docs like you work on MS Word, except that with Google Docs you would be working directly on the web. Google Docs allows you to create and edit documents online. It also allows you to collaborate with other users in real time. Anybody who has access to your Google Documents will be able to edit or modify your documents. It is possible for two or three people to work on the same document at the same time while being in different places.
Within Google Docs you can create documents, spread sheets and presentations. You can save these docs in your computer in a variety of formats. You can also e-mail them as a document. Google automatically save these documents to the Google server to prevent data loss and a revision history is also maintained. You can also tag your documents and save them as archives. Google provides you with the option of restricting others access to your documents. You can manage who can view and edit your docs be it your team, your organization or just yourself. Google Docs are not only for sharing and collaboration but also for personal uses.
